Party & Knitting
Well I think we are finally on the mend here. I went back to work today. I still have a cough hanging on and am still feeling tired, but for the most part we are back to normal. So, since I've not been up to blogging I thought I'd show a few pictures to catch everyone up. Here is Kase at his birthday that his sweet Dad threw for him. I was home in bed. He even ordered the cake, because I was in bed that day too. I've been told that everyone had a fun time. Don't ask me what they did I don't really know. Kase was so excited when he got home from his party and he told me all about his gifts and friends.
I have pick up a new hobby, knitting. Samantha is having a Winter Wonderland birthday party. I thought it would be fun for all the kids to get a hat, but they are so expensive. My friend Holly told me she'd teach me to knit them and I could get yarn for ninety nine cents. It's circle loom knitting, so it's super fast. I know for those you who really knit it cheating, but I don't care. I made 4 hats in like two days. I made both of the hats that Samantha in modeling. My knitting friends made a couple a piece and I have enough for everyone, and I spent like $10. I even made matching hats for my nieces. (like the one Samantha's holding)

Worthless Flu Shot!
So, it turns out the reason I felt so bad is that I had the flu. I am finally feeling better, although not back to normal. The really bad news is now Kase has it. So, it looks like we are in for ANOTHER long week at our house.
Yes, we did all get the flu shot. It looks like a lot of people who got the flu shot are getting the flu. Great isn't it.

Your Always Sick!
Always to a three year old is three days. I have been so sick for three days. I pretty much haven't gotten out of bed since Friday. I didn't even get to go to Kase's third birthday...how sad is that. Hopefully I'll be better tomorrow.

What do you do?
This month I'm supposed to do a newsletter for my ABC job. I thought I might give some ideas for family Valentine's activities. At our house on Valentine's the kids get breakfast in bed, and breakfast is pink and white or heart shaped. What do you do at your house. (Make sure and leave you name so that I can quote you)

New Year
The New Year seems to bring an opportunity for a fresh new start. In order to do that you need plans of some sort. So, I'm a little late with mine, but here is goes anyway.
1. Better Health for my me and my family. I got a new cookbook for Christmas Deceptively Delicious, where you puree the vegtables and hide them in your families food. So, far everything I've tried has worked. Spinach in brownies (I know sound horrible but my family has been eating them all week) Sweet Potatoes french toast, and all kinds of other stuff. Of course it's back to the gym. I've made it twice this week, and I am Sooooo sore.
2. Family Devotionals: I have everything to do this I just need to do it. The key is a little advanced planning on my part.
3. More one on one time with Arthur. We are taking a parenting class and the first lesson was mom and dad take care of your relationship!
That's it for now.

Catching Up!
Our 5 days of Christmas has come and gone. All of the decorations are done and I'm feeling pressure to make resolutions, plans, or goals. So, before I move on I felt like I should let everyone know how our Chirstmas went. After the trampoline night we move on and opened gifts at Nana and Papas. Ally's gathering of Hanna Montanna junk started here and didn't end until Christmas #5. The next two days we spent at Mimi and Pa's. My brother and his family came in so the kids were really excited about this. Santa brought lots of good stuff. Christmas afternoon we made gingerbread houses before the Jaycie had to go.
After all the fun in Abilen we headed to Dallas to see the cousins from North Carolina. We went with the cousins to go ice skating. The girls loved it! Ally had a great time, and Samantha went full force. She was soaking wet when she's was done.
