Cough!

Kase has had a cough all weekend! Last night he couldn't sleep and we had to use a breathing machine. So, this morning I promptly made an appointment with the doctor. Of course by the time we got the the cough was totally gone. Oh, well at least he feels better!

Tea Party!

This weekend some ladies at our church hosted a teas party for some girls and their mothers. So, when we got the invitation we signed up to go. It was great. I was amazed at what a great tea party it was. They had all kinds of great clothes, hats, and jewelry for the girls to dress up in. The food was fancy and very good. They even had "tea punch" for the little girls who just weren't tea drinkers. The tables were amazing, beautifuly decorated. They even had some fun activities.

Easter Marathon

We had a super busy Easter weekend. It started Friday night with Arthur's family. Then on Saturday we had lunch with mine, and headed out for the church Easter egg hunt. The kids had a great time hunting eggs and playing all the games. Samantha even won a big prize basket.
Saturday night we had my mom's birthday party at our house and hunted Resurrection eggs. We had a good dinner and lot of family time. It was super warm on Saturday, and then on Sunday it was freezing. We still wore our summer dresses and sandals. We were all cold but cute!
After church we headed home to get Sunday dinner ready. After a good lunch we headed outside with our jackets for the egg hunt.
This year because we had big kids and little kids everyone got their own color to hunt. It worked out so that everyone hunted their favorite color and everyone could pick up orange. It worked out great. No one got their feelings hurt and it lasted a longer than it normally would, because everyone really had to HUNT.

After our hunt Kaylie woke up from her nap and everyone wanted to hold her and help her open her own eggs.
The very last thing of the day was Christmas pictures. We never got around to it at Christmas, so we made them up this weekend. I think the kids were a little tired though.

Spring Break

Our Spring Break is a little wierd this year. Samantha went with Mimi and Pa, but Ally decided to stay here so that she could go to a slumber party. The party was a sleep over at the zoo, who could beat that. She had so much fun, it sounded like a blast.

So, all week I just had two kids. It's so wierd. We've just been hanging around. We did some shopping, (Ally love to shop.) She got to pick out some new shoes and summer clothes. Since I didn't get to shop at Dittos this year I have a lot to get. We also went to Red Lobster for lunch (Ally favotite) and Wienersnizel (Kase favorite). Before the rain flooded the yard we planted some flowers, so that the yard would be nice for Easter. Of course if it doesn't dry out well never be able to clean out the rest of it.

Today I worked, so there wasn't much fun to be had.

It's Offical!

If you would like to shut down the Dallas airport, just book me on a flight for San Diego. I got to San Diego fine, however I had an extra day in Sunny Califoria due to the snow here. Spending an extra day by the pool isn't the worst way to spend your time, of course it would be more fun with a friend.

I heard some really wonderful speaker, and found some really great books. I'll post it all in several post, because there is so much of it. The fist night we had a very funny christian comedian Tim Hawkins. Go to You Tube and do a search for Tim Hawkins.and you can hear all his stuff. Sorry I tried several times to do a direct link and it didn't work. I promise it's worth the extra effort. Danny Oertili was to worship leader for the weekend. He is also available on itunes. He had a very touching story (he also has a book)PNG also sang. A group for pre-teens. The were very good. (you can get there CD at Lifeway) If you kids like Hanna Montanna kinda a stuff this would be for them.

San Diego!

Tomorrow I'll be heading to the Children's Pastor's Conference that I go to. There are always so many amazing things there. Sheila Walsh is speaking this year and I can't wait to hear her. Last year my trip started like this and ended like this. I am so hoping for an uneventful trip. The Dallas weather report is 90% rain. Keep me in your prayers!

It's 2008 People!

Hobby Lobby is a store I go to often, but I really hate checking out there. They do not have scanners, and they enter everything by hand. Which means it takes for ever and you always have a hard time getting your sale price.

The other day on one of my many trips to Hobby Lobby I noticed that they had nice shiny new cash registers. Isn't that exciting. No it's not. New cash registers, no new scanners. How sad is that.
