Animal Kingdom was on the agenda for day number two. There was some rain in the forecast, but we were optimistic and got on the bus ready to go bright and early. Before we even go to the park it started storming. So, into the backpack we went to pull out our trusty cheap $1.00 ponchos I'd brought for just such and occasion. We got of the bus and started to head to the entrance. Turns our $1.00 ponchos are no match for serious blowing rain. So, we stopped off at the nearest gift shop and upgraded to some mickey mouse ponchos. (he's on the back) and headed into the park ready to go. Too bad the park was not ready to go. Almost everything was shut down due to lightning. After wandering around trying to find something to do we headed to the Nemo show. The kids spent the time waiting for the show eating pretty much all of our snack. The show did turn our to be one of the best things we did all week. It was amazing. After Nemo we spent a little more time hanging out until finally everything opened back up.

The girls had really been looking forward to riding Mt. Everest. Kase was tall enough to ride, but I thought it looked kinda scary. He however was sure he wanted to ride. For the most part he closed his eyes the whole time. Once we finished he was so excited and said that was a great ride. The girls were supper excited to hear that and wanted to go again. Kase began shaking his head No and backing away. He was very excited to have riden it but there was no way he was ever getting on it again. The good news was the due to the rain the park was for the most part empty, so the girls got right back on the ride and Kase and I did not have to wait long.

The African safari was Kase's favorite ride at Animal Kingdom. We rode it twice as well. Even with the delay we finished up early and headed to Downtown Disney to meet Arthur for dinner.
